Angelina Jolie Revealed as Maleficent
The Walt Disney Studios announced that the production for the movie “Maleficent” began on Wednesday, June 13th. The movies is directed by production designer Robert Stromberg which had collaborated on Avatar and Alice in Wonderland (two of the top box office films). The lead role (Maleficient) is portrayed by Angelina Jolie. Co-starring in the film are:
- Sharlto Copley (“District 9″),
- Elle Fanning (“Super 8″) (Sister of famous actress “Dakota Fanning”),
- Sam Riley (“On the Road”),
- Imelda Staunton (“Vera Drake”),
- Miranda Richardson (“The Hours”),
- Juno Temple (“Atonement”) and
- Lesley Manville (“Secrets & Lies”).
This is the untold story of “Maleficent” from Sleeping Beauty, the movie is in her perspective and it reveals what truly darkened and hardened her heart and what really drove her to curse the baby Aurora.
“Maleficent” is currently in production and it is scheduled for a March 14, 2014 release in 3D.
