Siri, Another Mistake Done by Apple?

“Siri on iPhone 4S lets you use your voice to send messages, schedule meetings, place phone calls, and more. Ask Siri to do things just by talking the way you talk. Siri understands what you say, knows what you mean, and even talks back. Siri is so easy to use and does so much, you’ll keep finding more and more ways to use it.” – Apple

According to what is written in Apple’s website and what was presented on iPhone 4S’s releasing day, Siri is a smart assistant that fully understands users even if users speak casually! For example users don’t need to say “is it a sunny day today?” to get the answer from Siri, They Only need to say: “do I need to wear sun glasses?” and Siri reports them the weather situation.

It was expected that Siri should at least work as well as what is shown in the video clip above, but it’s been reported by users that what is shown above is way ahead of how Siri actually works. Here is a real video clip of a Japanese person, using Siri:

This is only one example that shows Siri is even not capable of opening an E-mail!

Some say that Siri functions with English accent but Apple hasn’t mentioned anything about accent. What Apple introduced was a smart assistant that understands even casual English.
