The SOPA Conspiracy Unveiled?
December 24, 2011Jackie R.
There has been a new video that has gone viral over the internet, that seemingly unveils the truth about SOPA, about who is really behind it, and who really supports it.
For those who are new to the topic, SOPA or Stop Online Piracy Act, is a (still in progress) senate act introduced a few months ago. This will give power to the government to block access to “rogue websites dedicated to infringing or counterfeit goods” especially those registered outside the United States.
The video claims that long before this bill was even introduced, big companies like Cnet, created the softwares that enables people to pirate digital goods over the internet. It speculates that they even thought people how to do it, and now that it has taken over the internet widely they are introducing the act to stop it all together.
This act will burn not only the bad, but it will burn many those that are considered good as well. Sites such as YouTube, Twitter, and even Wikipedia will be considered rogue sites that share copyrighted material for free.
The man in the video (Michael Mozart), has created a website titled “One Candle in the Dark” in which there is evidence for every single point he makes in the video.
